Coaching for the space in between

From the outside, everything can look the same. The job, the home, the routine, the way people describe you.

Nothing has visibly changed.

Inside, something has.

What once gave you energy now takes it. It can happen without anyone else noticing, and you keep going as you are because it still works, and because no one has asked you to stop.

Maybe you haven't said it out loud yet. Maybe you've wondered if anyone else feels this way. They do.

Who this is for

If that sounds familiar, you may not know yet what it means, or whether anything needs to change. You'd like the space to find out, with someone who has no stake in the answer.

For others, something has changed on the outside too. For years you've introduced yourself by your roles: a mom, a director, a partner. When one of those shifts, the introduction no longer fits. A career shift. A move. A divorce. Menopause. Kids building lives of their own. Retirement approaching, or arrived.

This work is rooted in women's experience. It is open to anyone ready to look beyond the roles they've been living in. You can begin without knowing where you’ll land.

The work

That's often the best place to start. We look at who you are now, and how you want to show up. Some people leave with a new direction. Others leave with the same life, chosen again on purpose.

Clarity arrives when it does, and whatever you decide takes time and practice to live. It has to work on a Tuesday as well as in a conversation with me.

I'm not here to advise you toward a decision. I'm here while you work out what's true and what you want to do with it.

My own in between

I've been through seven transitions of my own. I left countries, ended careers, watched kids build lives of their own, traded corporate work for humanitarian work, then for social impact and civil society. Each time, I didn't know how it would resolve, and now I know it is possible to dwell in uncertainty, adapt, and eventually do well and be well.

I'm an ICF PCC-credentialed coach and faculty at Awaken Coach Institute, where I train and mentor other coaches.

How we’ll work together

Seven 45-minute coaching sessions across twelve months. You set the pace. Sometimes closer together at the start feels right; sometimes, with months in between, when life asks for it.

Between sessions, I’m available for check-ins on WhatsApp and email.

We’ll meet on Zoom. I'm in the Netherlands, with weekday session options between 8 am and 6 pm Central European Time.

  • Deb has great clarity, compassion, and empathy, and is also very 'real,' making it far less scary and intimidating to talk about things that most people usually don't feel like they have the space to discuss.

    Marcus

  • I have never had coaching before, so I was unsure what to expect from my sessions with Deb, but almost from the beginning, it made me realize that meeting and talking with her was something that I really needed. After every session, I felt more clear-headed and confident. Deb has a kind and calming manner, and she's great at getting to the root of things so I could find actionable ways forward.

  • The coaching experience was an incredibly helpful process that allowed me to organize my thoughts and help identify clear goals and expectations... and increase my awareness about my values and strengths. For anyone struggling with direction, this process would be incredibly helpful.

    Leah

  • I was lost as to which direction to take, full of uncertanties, questions and doubts. Coaching with Deb helped me to critically analyze my career choices, identify turning points, and and my strengths while also bringing me emotional stability.

How we start

With a short conversation, free and with no obligation. Tell me what's going on, ask me anything, and see whether this feels right. If it does, we'll take it from there.
